Robbery in Scotland
Just watched Catterall beat Taylor only to see the judges award the fight to the jock by a split decision.

Catterall basically outboxed Taylor including decking him once. Yet two of the judges saw a different scrap to me and the inside experts ( all of whom thought the decision would be unanimous for the Englishman ).

That's such bollocks from the BBBoC. It makes them look stupid. Why would you 'downgrade' a judge for just getting one round wrong?

Re: Robbery in Scotland
The British Boxing Board of Control has 'downgraded' a judge for his controversial scorecard in Josh Taylor's fight with Jack Catterall.

The BBBoC denied the official's scorecard affected the "overall result of the contest", but it took "issue with his margin" of victory for Taylor.

VIn a statement, the board said: "Having considered Mr Ian John-Lewis' explanation, the Stewards of the Board decided to downgrade Mr John-Lewis from an A Star Class to an A Class Official.

The board has contacted the WBO, WBC, IBF and WBA, supporting Jack Catterall to be made mandatory challenger for each or all championship sanctioning bodies."

Never understood the types of men who like boxing. Two muscular sweaty men beating on each other covered in blood and saliva.

But enough of mine and GOLDEN OLDIE’S weekend rituals. Boxing is shit.

What I've seen Ben Davison do to guaranteed world class boxers like Lee McGregor and Josh Taylor in such a short space of time makes me start to believe like Fury's dad said that he would have had Tyson Fury killed in the 2nd rematch.

I remember against Postal, Taylor won fairly by 1 or 2 rounds and every single one of the judges marked it with Postal down by at least 7 or 8 rounds.

It's shit like this that could kill the sport for good, especially with so many decent MMA clubs and gyms popping up all over.

That decision was so bad it’s hard to believe it was incompetence. Fair play to the new promoter, he called it as it was. I like him

What fucking fight were you watching. Just looking at the state of Taylors face tells you everything you need to know about who won that fight.

A sport decided by judges' opinions/scorings?

Sounds like ice skating.

or Strictly Come Dancing.

No wonder people are finished with boxing

You see fights from time to time where you know it’s close and could go either way. When the result goes against my opinion I can at least accept that maybe there were one or to things that I did not notice. Tonight however it was not even close.

Taylor threw good quality shots.

Think people have just worked out that throwing tippy tappy Calzaghe shots won’t cut it anymore.

Throwing 100 soft slaps isn’t as good as 1 good dig.

Re: Robbery in Scotland
Taylor lost by a mile, wasn’t even close.

How’d one judge get 114-111? With the knockdown as well.

So corrupt but not surprising. All British judges as well.

Almost up there with Roy Jones being robbed at the Olympics. I hope Taylor gets battered next time out.

Have been into boxing since I was in my teens. Honestly don't think I've seen a worse decision than that (and I've seen a fair few dodgy ones). Fucking disgraceful, a stitch-up.
